Volunteer Opportunities!
The Food Pantry at Oakwood
This is a fun crew and important work!
The Oakwood Food Pantry serves as a bridge for folks who rely on that little extra support to get them through the week. Most food pantries are only open during the week, so we are proud to be open every Saturday from 9:00 -11:00 am.
We have two volunteer shifts:
7:00 to 9:30 am | Prepare bags of food
8:30 to 11:00 am | Greet community members
We also need help with organizing food drives to help us provide:
hygiene products, menstrual products and cleaning supplies
pet food
staples such as Mac and Cheese, tuna and mayo, peanut butter and jelly
Buildings & Grounds
Good with a hammer and nails?
Do you get excited walking through the aisles of a hardware store? Then we need your help! Work with specific projects or general maintenance or both!
Anywhere from work parties, to fixing a mirror, to shoveling snow, or more skilled projects, our buildings and grounds committee would love to meet you!
